About this course

Today’s youth will do most of their communicating online—in their lifetimes they will write very few (if any!) actual letters, mail a resume, or pass a handwritten note. Yet rarely are they provided with guidance on what constitutes appropriate and respectful online communication. These lessons do just that!

In this short course your children will learn how to write an appropriate email, understand why it’s important to be mindful of the text messages they send, and will learn guidelines for using new visual communications tools, like Zoom. Knowing how to communicate properly and thoughtfully using technology is an essential skill for today’s digital citizens, and it is important for children to learn this skill before they use online communication tools to interact with others. Estimated time of completion is 2-3 hours.
